Howdy all,

Today's match marks a milestone in the history of The Oregon Old West Shooting
Society.   At least for the 4 years that I've been involved.  I am very proud
to announce that today we had a Lady Shooter win the Overall Match.  I
normally will not gloat about myself or my wife but today I cannot help
myself.  So please forgive me this ONE time.  Win or lose I am equally proud
of my wife and all her life's accomplishments.  But today I am extremely proud
to say that Buckshot Shell-E won our match.  She beat out 42 other shooters to
take the victory.  She is not one to brag or talk about herself but I can't
help in spreading the good news.  She told me when she figured out that she
won the match she felt excited, scared and even embarrassed?  Either way I'm
  very proud of her.

I'd also like to congratulate Frisco Nell for taking home the ribbon for Top
Lady.  She was very exited to receive it and I'm sure since Blackie
couldn't attend the match she will happily "rub it in" when she gets home.
Great shootin' Nell.  Thanks for the great hug also.  Just don't tell
Blackie.  In fact you can leave him home more often.  ;-)

Anyhow, the weather today was blah with rain coming down most of the day.  We
all stayed dry shooting under our wonderful covered bays.  We had 43 shooters
show up and even some interested visitors that I hope we made feel welcome.
They said they would be coming back.

Thanks to the following for donating to the prize table:  Long Jim, Edward T.
Beard, Redding Renegade, Grumpy and Warmheart.

Thanks again to all of you that came out early to set up and tear down while
our regulars are at EOT.  Your help is greatly appreciated.  We couldn't put
on a good shoot without your help.  A lot of work goes into a match and any
and all help is welcome and appreciated.

Our next match is May 15th.  Hope to see you all there.

  Warmest Regards,
